Abstract

RUSNAH, 2022. Application of Local Wisdom-Based Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Models to Student Learning Outcomes at SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene. Essay. Supervised by Andi Yunarni Yusri, and Ahmad Budi Sutrisno, Mathematics Education Study Program Andi Matappa Pangkep STKIP.

This study aims to find out how the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model based on local wisdom has on the learning achievement of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene. The main problems of this study are: (1) What are the learning achievement of students before the CTL model is applied based on local wisdom to students at SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene; (2) What are the student learning achievement after applying the CTL learning model based on local wisdom to students at SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene; (3) Is there an influence of the CTL learning model based on local wisdom on student learning achievement at SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene.

This type of research uses a pre-experimental design research type. The population in the study were all Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Satap Minasate for the 2022/2023 academic year with a sample of 18 Grade VIII students using a saturated sample technique, namely all Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Satap Minasatene. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis show that the average score of student learning achievement before the application of the local wisdom-based contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model is 54.68 with a standard deviation of 9.441 while the average score of the average student learning achievement after the application of the model contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based on local wisdom is 79.41 with a standard deviation of 7.034. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the t-test using the paired sample t-test show a tcount value of -14.140 < ttable -2.109 which means that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after the use of the learning model influences the local wisdom-based contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model of student learning achievement with normally distributed data using the normality test. Furthermore, the N-Gain test was obtained at 0.54 which indicates that it is in the medium interval category, namely g ≤ 0.7 so that it can be said that there is an influence of local wisdom-based contextual teaching and learning (CTL) models on student learning achievement.
